UNIVERSAL COLUMNS

Dear Friends ,

Wish You a Happy New Year.

This is also same as Universal Beam. Equivalent to indian standard " H " section/ Wide flanged Beams. Based on design requirements it will be used. Universal column variable sizes are from 152 X 152 X 23 To 356 X 406 X 634

Universal Column Designates like UC-Size1 X Size2 X Size3

Here UC represnts Universal Column

Size 1 represents Height of the section
Size 2 represents Width of the section
Size 3 represents Unit weight per Meter

The table shows Details of  Universal Columns.

Above Details are based BS 4: Part1: 2005
Properties of Universal Columns will follow next post
